I have read all i can find on the DSR method and am trying hard not to ask the same questions others have asked. I am setting up a 300g 8' tank.  Do you need to have a substraight for the system to work properly?   question #2. I have a large Ozone system. Good or bad? would it help or hurt the DSR system. Thank you for sharing your hard work.

substrate is where you bacteria live . I believe the system wil benefit from the substrate.
